Please make sure you've read our full Accessibility information here before you visit for all accessibility information and please contact a member of our team if you do require further assistance.
Essential Companions- must be over 14 years of age and capable of assisting the guest who has the disability. The carer would be expected to understand the disabled person’s condition and assist them in managing it for the duration of the visit. This helper is required to sit within the same carriage, boat, seat or row as the disabled guest they are assisting.
Although our staff are eager to provide the best possible service, they are not trained in lifting or carrying techniques and therefore cannot provide physical assistance. Helpers must be able to assist with transferring to and from rides, or any physical assistance that may be needed.
Essential Companion tickets can be reserved online here underneath 'Theme Park Carer Tickets'
On the day of your visit, please head to the Accessibility Kiosk located on the right-hand side just before the turnstiles which will be open from 9am until an hour before park closes.
Disabled guests can obtain one free carer's ticket upon arrival when providing one of the following forms of supporting documentation:

that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book. - Attendance Allowance or Carer's Allowance letter of award

of Visual Impairment (CVI). - Nimbus Access Card with the companion/ +1 symbol
If more than one carer’s ticket is required, please see here.
Please note that Carer Tickets are for admission to the park only and do not guarantee entitlement to a Ride Access Pass as these schemes feature different application processes.
Care homes supporting children - Thorpe Park's Carer Tickets are designed primarily for those who provide assistance to guests with disabilities/additional needs.
Care homes supporting children wishing to visit can apply and pre book entry via Apply for a Magical Day Out (merlinsmagicwand.org)
Applications for guests in a care home/care must be made by the care home directly.
Please note that, due to the seasonality of our attraction, Merlin's Magic Wand are no longer accepting application for days out at Thorpe Park this year.
Any questions, please email our team at customer.services@thorpe-park.co.uk
Annual Pass holders - Annual Pass holders with a disability have the option of a free carer pass. The carer pass is issued to the disabled guest and will have the name, date of birth and a photo of the disabled guest. It is therefore transferable between carers. Please note carers must be over the age of 14.
Please purchase an Annual Pass as appropriate along with the Passholder reservation ticket for the date you wish to visit. Your Carer ticket can be reserved online here.
Please note the carer pass cannot be used without the presence of the disabled Passholder it belongs to. This is because the pass is designed to offer assistance to the disabled guest only.
