The Ride Access Pass is a system we have in place to help guests who require additional support or are unable to queue due to a condition or disability. This allows them access to the rides via a queuing system for themselves and up to three people (one of which must be age 14+).
The Ride Access Pass removes the need for our guests to wait within the main ride queue lines and enter by a dedicated entrance for Ride Access Pass users. This will either be a designated entrance, FastTrack entrance, or the ride exit and there are symbols which indicate the specific entrances to each attraction on both our park map and THORPE PARK app.
Please be aware that instant access to a ride is not possible and a certain amount of queuing will still be required. Our rides hosts are trained to batch each of our queue lines equally to ensure fairness and consistency.
Helpers may only use the Ride Access Pass when accompanying the disabled guest.
RAP users can book up to 3 pre-books at any time, per attraction, on a rolling basis.
For instance, you could have x3 THORPE PARK Resort, x3 Alton Towers, x3 LEGOLAND Windsor RAP reservations at one time. Once you’ve used one reservation, you can pre-book another.
Please pre-book your RAP reservation for Thorpe Park via the accessibility webpage. Upon arrival, present your RAP pre-book ticket to the team at our Accessibility Kiosk - located to the right of our turnstiles, where in return you be given a timecard for use during your visit. Should you have any questions or need further guidance, our team at our Accessibility Kiosk or Guest Services are more than happy to help.
Groups with under 10 guests will need to book individually using the pre-booking portal. Any group over 10 guests will need to contact our Customer Services team directly no later than 7 days before the visit date.
Ride Access Pass applications:
Applications must be completed online, at least 7 days before your visit.
We are proud to partner with Nimbus Disability/Access Card, one of the UK's largest disability accreditation organisations, who now handle all Ride Access Pass registrations. The team at Nimbus Disability will process your registration within 72 hours; you will not be able to link your application to a Merlin Ride Access Pass until it has been approved.
Unlike the previous process through Merlin where we have asked for a Blue Badge or Higher rate DLA/PIP for example, the Access Card application process is more focused on an assessment of the individual and the barriers they face as a person.
Access Card will ask for any documentation and details to support an application and their expertise and knowledge of a wide range of disabilities makes them the right people to make this decision based on the information they receive.
The Ride Access Pass application remains free, with the option to upgrade to a full Access Card for £15.
Existing Ride Access Pass holders can continue to use their card as normal. Once a Ride Access Pass expires, you will need to repeat the online application as normal.
Once you register, Nimbus Disability will handle all your details securely and safely without Merlin Entertainments viewing the reason why you require a Ride Access Pass.
